Safety management software that zeroes in on risk.
SCOPE, the Safety, Compliance & Operational Performance Ecosystem, is Lucent Axis's safety management software for waste, transportation, and logistics operators. Safety observations, incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, training, and driver compliance live in one place, from the safety leader's dashboard to the driver's cab.
Every demo starts with a 30-minute call about your sites, fleet, and safety program.
Most safety programs don't lack effort. They lack follow-through.
Observations never get logged, incidents get written up on paper, corrective actions live in email, and certifications expire in a spreadsheet nobody opened. SCOPE puts the whole program in one system, so nothing falls between them.
Observations that catch risk early
Supervisors and crews log unsafe acts and unsafe conditions as safety observations from any device. They are the leading indicator that shows where the next incident is likely, before anyone gets hurt.
Every incident, reported the same way
Incidents and near misses are reported from the field in minutes, with the same fields every time, so nothing depends on who wrote it up.
Corrective actions that actually close
Every finding becomes an owned task with a due date and a sign-off, and anything past due rises to the top until it's done.
Compliance before it expires
Training, DOT medical certificates, road tests, and driver qualification files are tracked against their deadlines, with renewals flagged months ahead.
What does SCOPE include?
SCOPE includes six connected parts of one HSE management system: incident reporting and investigations, observations and DVIRs, corrective actions, training and driver qualifications, safety KPIs and recordkeeping, and dashboards for every role. Together they cover the full cycle: report it, investigate it, fix it, and prove the program is working.
Incident reporting & investigations
Incident reporting software for injuries, vehicle accidents, property damage, and near misses, with incident investigation software built in to capture witness statements, maintenance history, and root cause.
Observations & DVIRs
Safety observations and electronic DVIRs from a DVIR app on any device, so pre-trip defects and unsafe conditions are logged the moment they're seen.
Corrective actions
Coaching, housekeeping, maintenance, and training actions assigned to an owner, tracked to a due date, and signed off by a supervisor.
Training & driver qualifications
Safety training completion and driver qualification file management in one place: DOT medical examiner's certificates, licenses, and annual road tests, with expirations tracked.
Safety KPIs & recordkeeping
TRIR, DART, and lost-time rates calculated from your own records and exposure hours, benchmarked against BLS rates for your industry.
Dashboards for every role
A safety dashboard across every site for leadership, a task list for supervisors, and a simple daily view for drivers and crews.
The same records, the right view for each person.
A fleet safety management system only works when the people in the trucks use it too. SCOPE gives each role what it needs and nothing it doesn't.
Every site, one picture
- Incidents, injuries, accidents, and lost-time cases across sites
- TRIR and DART against industry bands
- Follow-through on actions, training, and qualifications
What needs doing today
- Open corrective actions, with sign-off
- Investigations and requests for input
- Documents and road tests waiting to be checked
Report it in seconds
- One-tap DVIR and incident reporting
- On-duty hours remaining for the day
- Training and certificates coming due
Find it. Fix it. Prove it.
Lagging numbers like TRIR tell you what already happened. SCOPE connects them to the leading indicators underneath, so you can act before the next incident.
See risk early
Near misses, observations, and DVIR defects are leading indicators. Captured consistently, they show where the next incident is likely to happen.
Close the loop
Investigations turn into corrective actions with owners and deadlines, and overdue work stays visible until it's signed off.
Show the program works
TRIR, DART, and follow-through rates come straight from the records, ready for leadership, insurers, and customers.
From first conversation to a SCOPE demo.
Discovery call
We learn how your EHS program runs today: your sites, your fleet, and where incident, training, and compliance records live.
Needs assessment
We map where safety data is getting lost, where follow-through breaks down, and which gaps matter most to your operation.
Tailored demo
Where SCOPE can help, we walk you through it against your own needs, so you see your program in it, not a generic tour.
Frequently asked.
What is SCOPE?+
SCOPE, the Safety, Compliance & Operational Performance Ecosystem, is the Lucent Axis safety management software. It gives waste, transportation, and logistics operators one place to report incidents, run investigations, assign and close corrective actions, track training and driver qualifications, and measure safety performance against industry benchmarks.
What is safety management software?+
Safety management software, also called HSE software or health and safety management software, replaces the paper forms, spreadsheets, and email chains most safety programs run on. Incidents, near misses, observations, and inspections are reported in one system, follow-up work is assigned and tracked to completion, and the safety KPIs leadership needs are calculated from the same records instead of rebuilt by hand each month.
What does SCOPE track?+
Safety observations; incidents, injuries, vehicle accidents, and lost-time cases; investigations and the corrective actions that come out of them; driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs); training completion; and driver qualification items such as DOT medical examiner's certificates and annual road tests, each with due dates and expirations.
Does SCOPE calculate TRIR and DART?+
Yes. SCOPE calculates total recordable incident rate (TRIR), DART, and lost-time figures from your incident records and exposure hours, and shows them against Bureau of Labor Statistics benchmarks for your industry, such as NAICS 5621 for waste collection.
Is SCOPE DOT compliance software?+
SCOPE covers the driver side of DOT compliance: driver qualification files, DOT medical examiner's certificates, annual road tests, DVIRs, and on-duty hours, each tracked against its deadline. Fleets that would otherwise run separate driver compliance software, fleet compliance software, and workplace safety software keep all of it in one system.
Who uses SCOPE day to day?+
Everyone in the safety program, each with their own view. Safety leaders see every site's outcomes and rates, supervisors see their team's open tasks and sign-offs, and drivers and crews see their on-duty hours, what needs their attention, and one-tap DVIR and incident reporting.
How do we see SCOPE in action?+
Book a SCOPE demo. It starts with a 30-minute call to understand your EHS program, your sites, and where safety data lives today. Where SCOPE is a fit, we follow up with a demo built around your operation.
